Tom Slingsby defends Moth World Championship with races to spare

Tom Slingsby has successfully defended his Moth World Championship with two races to spare, with an incredible scorecard of 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 (with two scheduled races remaining) – 12 points, which will end up being 15 points if the remaining two races (total 16) that are scheduled are sailed this afternoon at Lake Garda.

In the 2019 World Championship, the last held due to COVID-19 delays, Slingsby sported a similar scorecard, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, (DNC), (DNC) – 14 points from 15 races with two drops. 

We will bring you more news of the podium, and of course the remainder of the fleet; there are a number of women who can’t be overlooked who took part in the 2021 World Championship, 12 in total, the most women that have competed in this rockstar championship.
